Moon 2018
The plan for 2018 is still not ready…
Maybe because we have fullfilled our main goal we had from the beginning.
Now after ten years in the Pacific it is time to go back to the Atlantic.
In August 2017 we had our last thoughts about the North West Passage for the 2018 summer, but after having new information from friends, that went through 2017, we finally decided to put these thoughts on the shelf for good.
Which means we are going south from Mexico, but we still have three options.
– Quick and short via Panama Canal
– Down round South America
– or across the Pacific and Indian Ocean to South Africa
All three ends up in the Bahamas/Florida sooner or later.
In the beginning of December 2017 we cleared in to Mexico in Ensenada and plan to do coast hopping to the end of January or beginning of February.
In the middle of January we finally made up our minds and choose the short cut via the Panama Canal to the Atlantic.
The plan is to sail north in the western Caribbean via Cuba to Bahamas/Florida. Continue north probably via Bermuda to New York and then further north.
How far north within this year is not yet seen…
Once again – we may change plans again…
